Phyllis (Kindred) Danielson

March 16, 1929 — January 22, 2017

Our cherished Mom, Grandma Murph, sister, aunt and friend passed away at her home on January 22, 2017 after being tenderly cared for by her family.  Her earthly life began when she was born to Fred Lewis and Chloris Hill Kindred on a beautiful spring day March 16, 1929.  She grew up in Springville and graduated from Springville High.  She met Allan (Wallace) Danielson a handsome guy who became her eternal companion and best friend.  They were married on June 4, 1948 and sealed on April 25, 1964 in the Manti Temple.  She always demonstrated a true capacity of service, generosity, commitment, love and devotion to her husband and daughters.  Family was her focus.  She was an example of being and doing your best at all times.  Phyllis was a true lady in every sense of the word.  Her home was a place the family gathered.  She was the center of our lives…the Matriarch to us all.  Though she never held a prestigious position or wrote a famous book, she enjoyed making matching dresses for her little girls and later teaching them the fun of sewing, crocheting afghans for each grandchild, remembering every single birthday, keeping a personal journal for 40 years in her flawless handwriting, perfecting a Sunday roast, along with being a sharp Rook player on Friday nights and a regular golf partner with our Dad.  Every grandchild is convinced they are her favorite.   She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and showed the love of the Lord through her daily actions and any calling she was asked to do.

She was preceded in death and now joyfully reunited with her husband, baby daughter Nancy, and two great-grandsons.  She is survived by her daughters; Colleen Thurston-Tippetts (Jim) – Riverton, UT, Kaye Frischknecht (Scott) – Centerville, UT, Karen Sorensen (Chris) – Springville, UT and Nedra Johnson-Asay (Todd) – Aloha, OR, 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers; Boyd Kindred (Darlene) and Kent Kindred (Janice’).

We will celebrate her life on Friday, January 27th at the LDS Chapel located at 555 South 600 East, Springville, Utah.   A viewing will be held from 10 - 10:45 am with the services beginning at 11 am.  She will be buried in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
