Quinten Elroy Lowe

August 19, 1931 — May 6, 2007

Quinten Elroy Lowe, 75 of Mapleton passed away Sunday, May 6th, 2007 at his home after a long illness. He was born August 19th, 1931 in Provo Utah to Reed Eggerson and Vilda Leavitt Lowe. He Married Delia May Peterson on May 7th, 1951 in Spanish Fork. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.



Quinten grew up in Provo where he attended schools. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He worked as a pipe fitter for 42 years at Geneva Steel. He and Della have lived in Mapleton for 54 years where he was very active in the community. While serving as J.C. president they built the little league park and the Mapleton Fire Station. He was a charter member of the Mapleton Fire Department. Quinten was an active member of the LDS church where he served as Elders Quorum President and financial clerk for 15 years. He had a love for sports and was an avid BYU fan. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, golfing and horseshoes.



He is survived by his wife Della of Mapleton and 5 children: Sherry Winder (Eugene) of Elmo, UT, Reed Lowe (Kathy) of Payson, UT, David Lowe (Carma) of Clawson, UT, Jackie Perazzo (David) of Fallon, NV, and Amy Knudsen (Walt) of Newark Valley, NY; 22 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; siblings: Everett (Norma) Lowe, Maxine Baum, Floyd (Shirley) Lowe, Phil (Donna) Lowe, Nadine Baker (Stan) and Jim Lowe. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Reedola and 2 great grandchildren, Cheston and Faith.



Funeral Services will be held Thursday May 10th, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mapleton Stake Center located at 970 North 400 East Mapleton. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 8 p.m. at the Wheeler Mortuary located at 82 West 400 North in Mapleton and one hour prior to services at the stake center. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.



The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. John Frischkencht and Dr. Terry Hammond and Greg Farr of the Dialysis Center for there loving care of our dad.
