Listen to Obituary

Randy Jackson, 60, of Mapleton, Utah, passed away on November 20th, 2025. He was born on February 2nd, 1965, in Arcadia, California, to James and Janice Jackson. Randy married the love of his life, Lisa Jackson, on July 16th, 1988, and together they built a family centered on love, faith, and fun.

A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Randy was proud of his faith and committed to living it fully. He faithfully served an LDS mission in the Edinburgh Scotland Mission from 1984–1986. The mission was one of his proudest accomplishments that he remembered fondly and told stories of daily. He continued serving throughout his life, most recently as a Young Men’s advisor in his ward. His dedication to service, both in his home and in his church, was a defining part of who he was.

Randy’s greatest joy was his family. He found happiness in attending any and all family events, cheering on his children and extended family at sporting events, supporting youth activities, and spending cherished time with Lisa on their regular dates. He enjoyed bike rides, trying new foods, and sharing his talent for cooking; he was an exceptional cook who loved preparing meals for those he loved. Known for his warm sense of humor, strong work ethic, and deep loyalty, Randy lived a life grounded in love, service, and wholehearted commitment to the people who mattered most to him.

Randy is survived by his devoted wife, Lisa Jackson; his children Heather Mortensen (Springville, Utah), Lexie Russell (New Braunfels, Texas), Tyler Jackson (Mapleton, Utah), Abbie Jackson (Provo, Utah), and Bailey Ellis (Richland, Washington); and eight beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Janice Jackson.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 28th, from 9:30–10:30 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held at the Mapleton Stake Center, 970 N 400 E, Mapleton, Utah. Randy will be laid to rest at the Mapleton Cemetery.

Randy’s legacy of love, faith, dedication, and service will continue to bless his family and all who knew him.
