Bob spent his first 5 years in Springville until his father was killed in a tragic accident, after which his mother married Ray Mason and they moved the family to Sevier County where he made many lifelong friends. On October 15, 1951, he married Patsy Meyer in the Manti, LDS Temple. Together they raised six children, Robert, Steven, Diane, Leslie, John and Alison.

Second to his family was his love for the outdoors where he hunted, fished and rode his horses. Bob was an avid supporter of the Boy Scouts of America having attended several National Jamboree’s. He received the Silver Beaver award and was recognized by the BSA for having been a registered Scout or Scout Leader for over 70 continuous years. In addition to scouting he was very involved in the Hunter Safety program where he taught many youth.
He had a great love for and testimony of his Savior Jesus Christ and was always willing to share it with everyone. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many positions.
Bob spent the majority of his career in the insurance industry, first working for Metropolitan Life and then starting his own insurance agency, “Art City Insurance”. He finished his working career working for Pinkerton Security.
