Robert (Bob) Wayne Jewell, 78, of Springville, Utah, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. He was born on June 13, 1947, to Wayne Willard Jewell and Margaret Jeane Higgins Jewell. He was sealed to Marla Sue Jewell in the Los Angelos Temple. Together, they had three sons, Mike Jewell, Greg Jewell, and John Jewell. Marla preceded Bob in death on July 29, 1977. Bob later married Lynnette Jewell in the Mount Timpanogos Temple on August 5, 2005. At which time Lynnette’s daughters, Heather Boswell-Madsen and Trenna Ahlstrom, became part of Bob’s family.
Bob was a talented Electronics Technician who worked for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California for 30 years. Bob also used his skills to serve his community. He helped to build chapels for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also helped to service computers in his Ward to enable church members to research genealogy.
In addition to his skills with electronics, Bob was also a talented mechanic. When Bob was a young man, he worked with his father to rebuild cars. As an adult, he worked alongside his sons to restore Volkswagen Beetles, Chevrolet Novas, and other classic cars. Bob was a passionate dog lover who adopted multiple rescue dogs throughout his life—and even a rescue wolf. Bob’s greatest passion was his faith. He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lynnette Jewell; his three sons, Mike Jewell, Greg Jewell, and John Jewell; his stepdaughters, Heather Boswell-Madsen and Trenna Ahlstrom; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Gary Jewell and Christy Coyle.
