Roy Terry Cordaro, age 74 of Springville, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
He was born August 10,1949 in Chicago, Illinois to Leonard Richard and Elsie Saccomando Cordaro. Roy and his parents moved to San Diego when he was two years old. He attended Crawford High School, graduating in 1967. He received his Bachelor's Degree with a Major in Film and Television from San Diego State University. He acquired a private pilot's license and enjoyed many years in the sky. As a young adult Roy played keyboard in bands that were opening acts to groups such as Sonny and Cher, The Doors and The Drifters. He accepted a job with American Airlines as an International Flight Attendant and traveled the world with them for the next 43 years; loving his job and all the people he met in his travels. He enjoyed discussing film, travel, food, politics and technology of every kind.
Roy is survived by his eternal companion, Mary and his seven children and stepchildren: Vincenzo, Nicholas and Dominic Cordaro, Angelina (Martin) Cordaro-Marker, Grant (Abigail) Kniff, Sarah (Samuel) Mason and Gregg (Rosy) Kniff. Seven grandchildren: Leo and Ella Cordaro-Marker, Oliver, Jane and Elliott Mason, Toby and Lucas Kniff and grandbaby #8 on the way.
Roy was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He had tremendous faith and a firm testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ and in Heavenly Father's plan for his life.
A celebration of Roy's life will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Hobble Creek 12th Ward Chapel located at 950 S 1700 E Street, Springville, Utah. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
