Sebastian Bradfield Jakins, 46, of Mapleton, passed away Friday August 23, 2024. He was born April 13, 1978 in Johannesburg, South Africa to Sheridan Adrian Jakins and Shelagh Anne Jakins. He married Edith Evelyn Cannon on August 16, 2003, in the Bountiful Temple.
Sebastian enjoyed ping pong, basketball, mowing his lawn, winning at board games, playing pranks, eating ice cream, watching BYU sports, reading the scriptures, camping and spending time with his family. He was a loving father and cared for his family with all his heart. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved the gospel of our Savior. He served as an executive secretary, ward mission leader, high council, and many more callings. He worked at 3 Form, Clinical Innovations, and Laborie in Information Technology.
Sebastian is survived by his wife Evelyn, and three children: Faye(19), Finley(15) and Leanora(10).
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Mapleton 29th Ward Chapel located 1050 N 300 W, Mapleton, UT 84664. A viewing for friends and family will be held prior to the service from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. in the same building. Burial will be in the Mapleton Cemetery.
Services will be under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary of Springville, 211 East 200 South.
