Shane Anthony Sexton, 38, passed away unexpectedly due to health-related issues at his home in Provo, Utah on March 30, 2019. He was born September 20, 1980 in Cedar City, Utah to Aaron Dee Sexton and Pateresa Loraine Dutton Lowe. He was married to his former spouse Audrey Millet Sexton in 2000. They were together for a total of 20 years and had a beautiful daughter together, Emrie August Sexton.
Shane graduated from Landmark High in Spanish Fork, Utah. He had a passion for music with the ability to play many instruments and was even in a few rock bands. He started playing guitar at the age of 15 and continued to master guitar throughout his life. He posted several videos online of his beautiful guitar playing. He even wrote a few songs of his own.
Shane was fascinated with puzzles of all types, and never found one he could not solve. He could solve a Rubik’s cube in less than a minute. Family members would mess up his puzzles to prank him, but he turned it around and would ask them to mess them up for him, and loved them for it. He had an incredible artistic talent for drawing. He drew several pictures on his bedroom wall as a teenager.
He could drive anything and worked as a fork lift operator for Klemp - Amico, tow truck driver for AAA, and many other fun jobs. Through his coworkers, Shane was able to learn Spanish and became quite an impressive Spanish speaker.
Shane loved knives of all sorts and had an impressive collection of them. You wouldn’t find him without a knife on him.
He was an avid reader and was regularly found with a book in his hand. His favorite genres to read were horror, sci-fi, and action. His favorite authors were Piers Anthony, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Lee Child.
Shane loved to laugh and always had a joke ready to tell you. Shane loved his family first and foremost. He possessed a loving, sweet spirit that naturally drew others to him. He was a friend to all who knew him. He adored and loved his little girl with all his heart. His girlfriend was Terese Deaimone.
Our beloved son, father, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. Shane, You will forever be loved, and will be missed.
He is survived by his daughter Emrie A. Sexton, former spouse Audrey Sexton, parents, Pat and (Bill) Lowe, Aaron and (Fran) Sexton, brothers Aaron John (Amanda) Sexton, Van (Sarah) Lowe, and sister Hannah Perkins, grandfathers John Deloy Dutton, Royal Don Sexton and nieces Kodi, Kayzlin, Madalynn and nephews Zane and Leo.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM, at Wheeler Mortuary located at 211 East 200 South in Springville, Utah. Cremation will be on April 3, 2019.
