Stanley Wardell Bushnell

Our Dad, Brother, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, Stanley Wardell Bushnell age 81 from Mapleton Utah passed away Saturday August 19th, 2017. He was born on October 29,1935 in Meadow Utah to Everet Stanley Bushnell and Flora Ruby Day. He married Colleen Harrison on October 15, 1954 in the Manti LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2009.

He was born and raised in Meadow Utah. He always had fond memories and told stories of being raised on the farm. He enjoyed the outdoors including hunting, fishing and gardening. He took great pride in his yard. He was a true-blue BYU fan. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he held several positions including Ward Clerk and enjoyed working in the Provo LDS Temple.

He and Colleen raised five children in the home he built in Mapleton Utah. He is survived by his children, Gary (Debra) Bushnell, Kevin (Jakie) Bushnell, Greg Bushnell and Scott (Heather) Bushnell. His Brother Jed (Glenda) Bushnell and sisters Gayle Smith and Jerilyn (John) Halleck. Stan has 28 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Washburn and a brother ValDean Bushnell.

The family would like to thank Elkridge Assisted Living and Hearthstone Manor for their compassionate care of our dad.

Funeral services will be held Friday August 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Mapleton 7th Ward Chapel located at 1050 North 300 West in Mapleton. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary 82 West 400 North in Mapleton or Friday at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
