Warren Edward Child, age 82 of Springville, Utah passed away December 25, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Warren was born in Provo, Utah to Verl Edward Child and Theda Naomi Warren. He married Sandra Elaine Lamm on January 29, 1965 in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Warren loved woodworking and was a Journeyman Carpenter. He also loved to Rock climb, ice climb, spend time at the cabin in Wanrhoades aka “The Ranch”, and he was also a Scout Master. He loved supporting his grandkids in everything that they did. Warren loved to participate in the Rotary Club. One of his favorite things to do every morning was hang out at the coffee shop with all of his buddies. He also enjoyed riding 4 wheelers and snowmobiles.
Warren entered the Navy at the age of 17 and served on a destroyer. He served 2 tours in Vietnam from May 1966-March 1968.
Warren is survived by his wife Sandra; 4 children, Justin (Cybil) Child, Shelley (Gary) Dye, Morgan (Jocelyn) Child, Travis “Skinny” Child; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 1 on the way. He was proceeded in death by his parents Verl & Theda Child, his mother & father-in-law Edwin & Cleo Lamm, his youngest son Isaac Jacob Child and his son-in-law Gary Lee Dye.
Warren loved his family. He was a devoted father, grandfather and husband. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 6-8 pm at Wheeler Mortuary located at 211 East 200 South in Springville. Funeral services will also be held at Wheeler Mortuary, Monday January 3, 2022 at 11:00 am with a viewing that morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery with full Military Rites.
