Wayne Blanchard

1935-2026

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend returned to his Heavenly Father on July 19, 2026. He was born on November 12, 1935, in Susanville, CA, to Ira Edward and Cathaline Blanchard. He was the oldest of three children. After graduating from high school, he faithfully served his country in the United States Army. While on leave, he met the love of his life, Delora Lou "Ducky" Mann. They were married on July 13, 1957, in Springville, UT, and were blessed with three children: Gary, Kim, and Kathy. On June 11, 1970, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and service and shared 54 wonderful years of marriage until Ducky's passing.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served faithfully in every calling he was given. He took home teaching seriously and quietly ministered to those he was entrusted to serve, never seeking recognition but always willing to help.

Dad had many talents and hobbies that came in different seasons of his life. He had a deep love for Lake Powell spending many summers with friends and family boating. He was an avid golfer and proudly celebrated a hole-in-one at Hobble Creek Golf Course. He loved exploring the outdoors on his ATV with family and friends, creating memories while seeing some of the most beautiful country. He found great joy in woodworking and could often be found in his shop building something for his children or grandchildren. Whether it was a project, a trip, or a simple gathering, what he treasured most was being with his family.

More than anything, he loved his family. He was a steady example of kindness, quiet strength, hard work, and unwavering faith. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him immense joy, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion that will continue to bless generations.

He is survived by his children: Gary (Lisa) Blanchard of Layton, UT; Kim (Jon) Mageno of Springville, UT; and Kathy (Kip) Strohecker of Pagosa Springs, CO; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Margaret (Cecil) Lundell Hill and Judy (Reed) Barker; and many beloved nieces and nephew

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 355 East Center Street, Springville, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. before the services at the church. Burial will be held in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
