William H Staheli, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed peacefully away from his mortal existence on Wednesday, June 05, 2013. He was surrounded by his children and loved ones through his last hours.
He was born June 23, 1925, in Enterprise, Utah to William C. and Edessie Iva Hunt Staheli. He grew up in rural farm life and later spent his official career teaching Industrial Arts at Springville Jr. High School.
He married Mary Dunn, the love of his life, on June 13, 1947, in the Logan Temple. They had 5 children, 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren to whom he remains a stalwart example of faith and endurance. He served faithfully in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints his entire life and taught his children and grandchildren to do the same through his unwavering example.
He is survived by his children, William D (Shauna), Leslie Scott (Valerie), Kathy Hansen, LeAnne (Brian) Griffin, and Mark Eldon (Amy); siblings Melvin Staheli (Elaine) and Zera Staheli (Vicky) of Springville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his parents; sister, Merline DeBoar; brothers, Alma and Elias; and grandson, Jared Staheli.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 10th, 2013 at 11:00am at the Kolob Stake Center 1230 South 500 East, Springville. Viewing will be Sunday June 9th, 2013, 6 - 8pm at the Wheeler Mortuary 211 East 200 South, Springville, and Monday, June 10th at the church 9:30am to 10:30am before the services.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the Nurses, CNAs and ReHab Therapists at Orem Rehab and Nursing Center for their concern, kindness and tender care. He grew to love each one for the brightness they brought to his day.
