Arline (Hall) Vincent

January 4, 1936 — May 6, 2022

Madera, CA

Arline Hall Vincent was born January 4, 1936, in Payson, Utah to James Armond Hall and Naomi Finlayson. Arline passed away May 6, 2022 in Madera, CA.
Frank and Arline were married in Southern California in 1955 where they started their family and resided until 1971. In 1971 they relocated to Archibald, Ohio working for Georgia Pacific this only lasted for 1 year as it was too far from family and nothing like Utah. So, in 1972 they moved to Madera, CA to be part of a startup plant for Georgia Pacific. Madera, CA would become their forever home. Here they finished raising their children and enjoyed many memories with their grandchildren and great grandchildren.
As a youth growing up in Utah Arline learned the importance of hard work. She loved to spend time working hard out in the orchards and fields picking cherries and peaches with her siblings and cousins. This work ethic stuck with her all during her life. Everyone she worked with would be the first to tell you how dedicated she was from her time working at Grant’s, Madera Pumps and being a clerk for the County Tax assessor’s office in Madera.
This dedication carried over to her love of her religion and family. Arline was an active member of the LDS church throughout her life, where she held multiple positions in the church. From Sunday School teacher, Relief Society Secretary, and Ward Missionary amongst many others. In addition, she enjoyed working out in the grape field with her family picking grapes on the church farm. Her love of Family was shown in everything she did. She would always talk about her home in Utah and her family. She Loved returning to Utah as much as possible to spend time with grandparents, parents and cousins. Her main priority was ensuring everyone was taken care of first before thinking of herself. An example of this was early in their married years when working at Penney’s she would buy the whole family new clothes for Christmas to ensure everyone had something nice to wear. Arline loved having Family gatherings especially around the holidays with all of her kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren around her.
Arline was one to always be on top of the political scene. She loved to watch Fox news. When she would call on the phone she could talk for 30 minutes straight and ask multiple questions but would never stop long enough to let you respond. She also enjoyed doing Sudoku and the daily crossword puzzle in the newspaper. Later in life Arline picked up the hobby of Golf. Which was odd as throughout most of her life in Madera she would complain about Frank constantly being on the golf course. Until something changed one day and she decided if you can’t beat them then you better join them. In time, she became an accomplished golfer even to the point she could beat Frank. Arline and Frank spent their retirement years together traveling and playing Golf with Friends especially Bruce and Charlene Alexander.
In the end “Just like Frank, Arline was lovingly surrounded by three generations of her family members during the last week of their lives.”
Arline was proceeded in Death by: James Hall (Father), Naomi Hall (Mother), Beatrice Hall (Stepmother), Melvin Hall (Brother), Bernice Hall (Sister), Freya Hall Johnson (Sister) and Frank Vincent (Husband).
Arline was survived by: Robert Hall (Brother), Michele Manzanarez (Daughter), Patricia Perez (Daughter), Paul Vincent (Son), and Michael Vincent (Son) and 14 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren.
