Bernice Wall Olsen, 91, passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in Gilbert, Arizona. She was born on September 16, 1930 in Wallsburg, Utah, to Ethel Gardner and Amasa Wall and she had one older brother Clyde D. Wall.

Bernice was raised on their family farm in Wallsburg and loved working alongside her father. She graduated from Wasatch High School in 1947 and moved to Salt Lake City where she lived in the Beehive House while she worked at ZCMI.

She married her sweetheart Don K. Olsen on September 15, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were blessed with five children. Mitzi (Curt) Hedges, Jill Olsen, Roy (Dana) Olsen, Irene (Don) Dalton, Linda (Rick) Trout. All of whom have no words to express how much they love her and will miss her.

Bernice successfully ran a construction heavy equipment rental business with her husband Don for many years in Southern and Northern California.  They were partners in every sense of the word. She managed all the books and helped to get Dad’s equipment moved from job to job. These were the days before cell phones and they both would have so loved that convenience.

Bernice served faithfully in many capacities as an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She cherished the friendships that she made through those associations. She served in both the Newport Beach California and Gilbert Arizona Temples and as a scribe to the stake Patriarch for many years. She faithfully indexed family history names for many years. She also crocheted and knitted various articles for humanitarian causes.

Bernice had many talents and interests that helped her have a wonderful life where she was able to continually learn and serve those around her. Some of her interests and activities included puzzles, beautiful cross stitching, quilts, sewing, crocheting, International Travel (she visited every continent except Africa and Antarctica), square dancing, planning amazing family reunions, Disneyland annual pass holder, walking, exercising at Curves, games, reading to grandkids and having them spend a week with her when they turned 8 years old, homemade bread, divinity and ice-cream and root beer on demand.

She provided a home of love where the focus was always on her family.  She continued to send birthday cards to each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren until her passing.  She was an elect lady who served her family and others every day of her life.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents Ethel Gardner and Amasa Wall, her brother Clyde D. (Julia) Wall, her husband Don K. Olsen, and granddaughter Sarah Hedges.

Bernice is survived by her five children, grandchildren: Nathan Alan Hedges, Rebecca Hedges Baker, Matthew Don Hedges, John Andrew Hedges, Daniel Roy Olsen, Terrell Kent Olsen, Elaine Constance Olsen Mills, Rachel Anne Olsen, Hilary Dalton Pippert, Spencer Newell Dalton, Emily Claire Dalton, Brandon Joseph Trout, Dallin Richard Trout, Lauren Trout Hulsey, Kaleen Trout, Meghan Trout.
