Georgia (Smith) Majeska

March 22, 1927 — January 11, 2022

Santaquin, Utah

Georgia Smith Majeska was born to Warren L. Smith and Susie Pitcher Smith in Cardston, Alberta, Canada on March 22,1927. She passed away January 11, 2022 in Santaquin, Utah.  She married William Ward Majeska June 9, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN. They were later sealed in the Cardston, Alberta, Canada Temple.

Georgia loved her family, dancing, ice skating and traveling. She enjoyed going to Lake Powell with her large group of friends. Georgia loved to water ski and ride on the bow of the boat. She loved to laugh and tell jokes. She was always the life of the party. Georgia cherished her friends and family — She was an incredible Mom, Grandma, Great Grandmother. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings, including serving with the Young Women. The young people were her favorite and she loved working with them.

Georgia trained as a lab technician and worked in blood banks in MI and UT from the time she was 20 yrs old until she retired at age 65 from Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. Following her retirement, she worked as a volunteer until she was well into her 70’s. One of her greatest joys was serving other people. She was always baking and taking baked goods to the neighbors. She made candy at Christmas time and we miss all of her treats.

She is survived by her children, Pam Norton (Jim), of Santaquin, UT, and Brent Majeska (Brandi), of Downsville, LA. Her grandchildren are Nathaniel Norton (Alyson), Jonathan Norton, Braden Norton (Toinnette), Amanda Boshard (Adam), Michael Majeska (Krista), Matthew Majeska (Harry), Madison Majeska. Great grandchildren are Nataly Norton, Tayvin Castillo, Kash Norton, Lucy Norton, Jordie’ Castillo, Afton Boshard, Georgia Boshard, Ryan Majeska, Ryder Majeska, and Myles Majeska. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ward Majeska, brothers and sisters-in-law Edward (Ted) and Cathie Smith, Thurston and Ada Smith, and her sister and brother-in-law Arline and Earl Scott.
