Linda spent her youth in Lakewood & Bellflower, and met Bob at church when she was 13 years old. They knew each other for 6 years and dated on and off prior to being married for 61 years. Linda was dating Bob when he left for his mission in Hawaii. She wrote to him faithfully through his mission- including a “Dear John” letter. However, Bob wanted you to know he still won in the end. They were married in the Los Angeles Temple on May 26, 1960. They have spent decades together by each other's sides through life's ups and downs.
Linda lived for many years in different parts of California. She had her family and many friends in San Jose, Lakewood and others. Linda then moved with Bob to Utah County in 1990 to be close to their children and grandchildren, and have called Utah home for most of their time since.
Linda loved her family and friends and liked to keep up to date with all their accomplishments and activities. For decades she has loved to send greeting cards for birthdays and holidays to everyone, she was commonly found writing cards to everyone and kept an impressive address book and remembered everyone. Linda loved to go to lunch with friends and family.
Linda had a love for decorating and collecting “pretty things”. Years ago, she would spend months turning her home into a Christmas wonderland and throw parties for everyone. She planned and decorated her many homes throughout her life and loved to display her collections.
Linda has a love for the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her and Bob were converts to the church. The gospel brought her comfort and a strong foundation. She served in many capacities in the church, she served as Relief Society President, Bishop's wife in both California and BYU wards, and many other callings. She also loved attending temple and serving as a temple worker. Linda loved general conference and reading each church magazine cover to cover each and every month. She was prepared and ready to leave this life to go home. She had faithfully served her earthly mission and was ready to be reunited with her family in heaven, she is no longer in pain and is no longer suffering with all of her medical issues. She is at peace and will be waiting to welcome the love of her life home. She will be missed by all who knew her.
