Max Worthey Petroff

Max W. Petroff, 93, of Springville, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020, in the care of the Richfield Care Center. He was born on December 9, 1926, in Provo, Utah, to Mike and Cecilia Petroff. He married Bonnie Fox, June 7, 1953. She preceded him in death. He resided with Evelyn Fox, also preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Lila Petroff, married on August 9, 2012.

Max served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a long time member of the Eagles club, and enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center in Springville, Utah. He was an avid bowler and loved to camp and go fishing. He was full of life and enjoyed contributing to sub for Santa. Later in life he resided at the Richfield Care Center, Richfield, Utah. We would like to express our deepest gratitude for the nurses and staff that so kindly cared for him.

Max is survived by Lila and her family. Bonnie and Max's daughter, Sandra (Chris) Clark of Sandy, Utah; her three daughters: Tracie (Chad) Evans of Phoenix, Arizona; Holly Kemp of West Jordan, Utah; and Sonja (Dillion) Lawrence of Sandy, Utah; and his 5 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Rodger, Edith, Jack, Bobby, and Donna. He is survived by brothers Ted (currently cared for also by Richfield Care Center) and Lee (Donna) of Provo, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 21, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Wheeler & Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home. A viewing for friends and family will be held prior to the services, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
