Mildred Martha (Gillis) Eldridge

Mildred Martha Gillis Eldridge, 95, of Springville, Utah died Thursday, November 12, 2020 at home. She was born August 11, 1925 to Mike Gillis and Mildred Sherman in Ketchikan, Alaska. She married William Eldridge November 18, 1944 in Seattle, Washington. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on August 17, 1956.
Mildred loved to bake. She was famous for her breads, rolls, and baked goods at church fund raisers and in the neighborhood. She served in the Primary for many years as the CTR teacher and always spoke with love of her Primary children. The other passion of Mildred was genealogy. She spent many hours at the library researching and submitting names to the temple. Mildred and Bill spent several years serving as Church Building Missionaries.
Mildred is survived by her children: Merrilee (Kenneth) Slack, Steve (Marilyn) Eldridge, Darlene (Tom) Hare, Bob Eldridge, and Elizabeth (Jon) Hardman. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her son, Jim, and her son, Tom, and all of her family of origin. Mildred has 36 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren and 9 great great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 350 North 400 East in Springville with a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 prior to the services.
