Roah Garrett O'Reilly

May 19, 1975 — June 5, 2022

It is with great sadness the O’Reilly family announces the passing of their beloved Son, Brother, Uncle and Husband, Roah Garrett O’Reilly. Born in Fresno, California on May 19, 1975, Roah passed away on June 5, 2022 at the age of 47 in Encinitas, California.
Roah will forever be known as a loyal defender of friend and family who exerted great strength when necessary yet was guided by a soft heart for the downtrodden and less fortunate. His smile lit up a room when he entered and no one left without laughing from his great sense of humor.
He just wanted people to smile and be happy.
Roah attended Springville High School where he excelled in Football as a running back and was nicknamed the “Sherman Tank” by a member of the local media. He was a Seminary graduate, an Eagle Scout and matriculated from SHS in 1994.
Roah was a cancer survivor at the age of 19 having beat a terminal diagnosis of acute myoblastic leukemia after receiving a life saving bone marrow transplant via his sister Casey.
Roah developed a reputation for excellence in direct sales and marketing. He had a way of making people feel good about doing business with him. Most of this time was devoted to substance-abuse detox and rehabilitation which was a passion of his.
Roah is survived by his mother and father, Lavern and Michael O’Reilly. His siblings and their spouses Kevin and Tamy O’Reilly, Robin and Rusty Schafer, Sandy and Hugh Biesinger, Kelly and Kirsten O’Reilly, Michael and Amy O’Reilly and Casey and Jason Morris and thirty-two nephews and nieces.
Roah was preceded in death by his spouse and the love of his life, Kristy Kelling O’Reilly.
Roah’s funeral will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint ward building found at 355 Center Street Springville, Utah. Viewing will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM with the funeral services beginning promptly at 11:00 AM.  Roah will be buried at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery at 1997 South 400 East Springville, Utah.
