Zoriyiah Ann Bjarnson

On September 20, 2021, we found out that we were expecting a little one.  On November 24, 2021, we found out that she was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome, hydrops, and swelling.  The swelling and hydrops kept getting worse.  On January 6, 2022, we found out that not only had the hydrops and swelling gotten worse, but she had developed a heart condition called hypoplastic left heart syndrome.  She was then given a 0% chance of surviving.  We had a specialist appointment at the U of U in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 10, 2022.  The hydrops and swelling got worse in those 4 days.  She was also in severe heart failure.  On Thursday, January 13, 2022, there was no heartbeat at my OB/GYN appointment.  After almost 24 hours of labor, our sweet girl gained her wings at 4:55 a.m. on January 15, 2022.  Our little warrior fought endlessly till the very very end.  This is the day that we honor her and her fight.

Zoriyiah Ann Bjarnson proceeded in death by Joan Bjarnson (great-grandma), Lila Hutchings (great-grandma), Erenst Steele (great-grandpa).  She is survived by Keara Bjarnson (mother, 17), Kyliah Bjarnson (aunt, 13), Khyler Bjarnson (uncle, 10), Kayden Bjarnson (uncle, 15), Helen Bjarnson (grandma, 33), Tammy Sauvageau (great-grandma 64) and a whole army of people rooting for her.

Funeral services will be held at Wheeler Mortuary (211 East 200 South, Springville, Utah 84663) at 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.  Dedication of the grave will be held right after at the Evergreen Cemetery (Springville, Utah)
